Humanist and Secular Services
Humanist Chaplain
Providing resources, advocacy, and Humanist pastoral care. We welcome and serve all students, faculty, and staff facing personal challenges, seeking meaning and purpose, seeking guidance for ethical development, and other support from a Humanist values perspective.
Humanism is a positive, life-affirming non-religious worldview that focuses on an individual’s connectivity to, and impact on, others. We see kindness and compassion as ubiquitous human potentials, and promote respect and inclusion for people of all worldviews.

Workshops
For schedule and registration information, visit http://SRMA-UCF.org/find-a-workshop
We host two workshops to provide conversations promoting a campus community that respects and includes individuals of all faith and non-faith perspectives.
- InterWorldview Respect and Inclusion (IWRI) – promotes inclusion for all perspectives by raising awareness and understanding about stereotypes and discrimination and provides discussion about our ability to influence inclusion around us.
- Atheism and Humanism: The Experience of Living Without God – explores Atheistic identities, discrimination and other challenges faced by non-religious people, and how we can all work toward a more inclusive world.
In addition to workshops each semester, we support a Humanist Safe Zone Allies network and provide consultations to individuals and departments. Allies must complete the IWRI workshop and are encouraged to attend the Atheism & Humanism discussion as an advanced course.
Humanist Peer Support and Discussion Group
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Innovation Center in Research Park. Parking at the building is free. Follow the signs to the Human Resources suite; we are in room 102.

Secular Perspective Organizations in Central Florida
People of faith often seek a faith community (church) to find fellowship, engagement, and connection. There are similar communities for non-religious people in Central Florida.
